Australian fans will be the first to see the internet’s latest viral video sensation, in action.

Over 5 million youtube viewers have logged on to watch Ken Block demonstrate his legendary car control in the latest instalment of the worldwide hit, Gymkhana series.

DC Shoes: Ken Blockʼs Gymkhana FOUR; the Hollywood Megamercial (http://www.dcshoes.com/gym4 ) showcases a stunning array of stunts and tricks filmed entirely on-location at Hollywood’s Universal Studios.

In less than a fortnight, Block will take to Calder Park Raceway in Melbourne, putting his Ford Fiesta through its paces in a breath-taking display of stunts as part of the Gymkhana World Tour.

Over 110 million worldwide viewers have seen the Gymkhana series videos online, but few will get the chance to see Block perform in person.

8,000 free tickets to the September 3 event were snapped up by fans, and Monster Energy Australasian Manager Adrian Hunter said he hoped GYM4 would whet their appetites in the lead-up.

“Ken’s appeal is undeniable,“ Hunter said. “In just five days his latest video has had over 5 million views.

“With less than two weeks to go we are in the final planning stages for the Gymkhana World Tour event at Calder Park and it is shaping up to be a phenomenal spectacle.

“Australia is hosting the last stop of the tour and we are going to make sure it is the best one yet,” Hunter added.

Block’s ride is an all-new build from the previous Gymkhana series, based on the architecture of the 2011 Ford Fiesta RS WRC. The Hybrid Function Hoon Vehicle (HFHV) is a custom design, used by the American in gymkhana, RallyCross and stage rally.

Block headlines his Gymkhana World Tour event at Calder Park and will be joined by various two and four-wheel athletes throughout the action sport spectacular including the Monster Energy Showtime FMX Team, V8 Supercar drivers Jamie Whincup, Shane Van Gisbergen and Andrew Thompson and Harley Davidson Stunt Rider Matt Mingay.
