Steve Richards Journeys North For The Kids

On Friday the 5th of August, two times Bathurst 1000 winner Steve Richards will lead 30 Laser Plumbing and Electrical members from Adelaide to Darwin on a fundraising automotive tour for Variety ‘the Children’s Charity’.

Steve will have the Laser Plumbing and Electrical Australian Carrera Cup Porsche race car on display along the way, signing posters and merchandise for ‘Gold coin’ donations, with all proceeds going to Variety ‘the Children’s Charity’.

“At our various overnight stays, we plan to have the car on display and have some posters and merchandise to hand out. We are going to encourage everyone to make a donation so that we can present the money to Variety upon our arrival in Darwin,” Steve said.

Steve sees this as a great opportunity to show off the Carrera Cup Championship Porsche to everyone along the Stuart Highway as they travel north over the five days.

“The guys and girls from Laser Plumbing and Electrical both here and from New Zealand are individually raising money for Variety through sponsorship of their own cars and we thought it would be great to show off our fantastic Porsche as we travel up through Central Australia and give some of the people that don’t often get to see our great Carrera Cup Porsches at the track, the opportunity in their own back yard to come along and check it out”.

The five day journey will take in the sights of the Stuart Highway from Adelaide to Darwin, including Cooper Pedy, Uluru, Alice Springs, Tennant Creek, Katherine before the final run home into Darwin on Wednesday August the 10th.
