DTM – Timo Scheider Fastest In Lausitzring Warm Up

Timo Scheider (Audi) had the best start into raceday: in warm-up on Sunday morning, he set the fastest lap time of 1:20.302 minutes with his Audi A4 DTM. Gary Paffett (Mercedes-Benz) with the AMG Mercedes C-Class followed him closely. On his fastest lap, the Brit came within 0.051 seconds of Scheider’s time. Oliver Jarvis ended up third, another one hundredth of a second down.

Christian Vietoris (Mercedes-Benz) again showed a strong performance in warm-up: following his tenth place in qualifying on Saturday, he was now classified fourth. Filipe Albuquerque (Audi) took seventh place in the final test before the race behind Maro Engel and Jamie Green (both Mercedes-Benz). Martin Tomczyk (Audi), David Coulthard and Susie Stoddart (both Mercedes-Benz) completed the top ten in eighth, ninth and tenth place respectively.

Bruno Spengler (Mercedes-Benz), who will be starting from pole position into the fourth DTM season round, was 0.351 seconds down on Scheider’s fastest time in 14th place. Mattias Ekström, third in qualifying on Saturday, was classified 17th. He was only 0.574 seconds down on Scheider.
